This a small group drawing and painting class with only six available seats for ages 10 to Adult. The studio will focus on the development of students’ own personal aesthetics and styles based on their personalities and interests. We teach students classical and contemporary drawing and painting techniques, and multi-media creation. Students will be confident in using pencils, charcoal, colored pencils, watercolors, acrylics, oil paints, and soft pastels on their canvas. They will draw scenes from still life, costumed models, and work from their imaginations while learning important formal skills like proportion, perspective, composition, and hatching/cross-hatching for value.

We will also build students' strengths in the foundations of fine art, and they will gain knowledge about art history, appreciation, and criticism.

If students are interested in preparing for art-related competitions or academic applications, we highly recommend this class.
